There are a couple of things I would change.
1. It needs Condition removal
2. It should have Hex removal
3. It should have some form of protection

Heroes have been running the following to great effect.

Flunkoro:
[wiki]Cure Hex[/wiki][skill]Protective Spirit[/skill][skill]Aegis[/skill][skill]Glyph of Lesser Energy[/skill][skill]Dwayna's Kiss[/skill][skill]Word of Healing[/skill][skill]Dismiss Condition[/skill][skill]Signet of Rejuvenation[/skill]

Tahlkora:
[skill]Shield of Deflection[/skill][skill]Protective Spirit[/skill][skill]Glyph of Lesser Energy[/skill][skill]Guardian[/skill][skill]Dwayna's Kiss[/skill][skill]Healing Whisper[/skill][skill]Dismiss Condition[/skill][wiki]Cure Hex[/wiki]

No, neither have a Resurrect. On the occasions they have a Resurrect skill it is disabled until required. Sometimes I'll take out Cure Hex in favour of something else if it's not a particularly hex-heave area. I'm not 100% sold on Tahlkora's build, expecially Healing Whisper, though she usually managed her energy better than Flunkoro. Her build is still being watched.

Those builds have gotten me through dungeons, missions etc., in normal mode and hard mode. I'm sure they can be made better. Tahlkora's elite I switch to whatever seems most appropriate; Restore Condition, Zealous Benediction etc..

Bring Aegis on your heroes and disable it. Other prot is useless 99% of the time on heroes, because they have no RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing clue how to use it. Word, Dismiss, Cure Hex, Dwayna's, Aegis (disabled), and Rebirth (disabled) is fine. Add more and you risk them screwing it all up. Leech Sig and Pdrain are good ideas on some hero builds, but I wouldn't split between 4 attributes.

if you dont like microing your heroes as much I suggest using small spammable prots instead of big prots. heroes dont spam prot spells as much as they do heal spells so energy wont be too much of a problem, even though they still suck at managing it. with that in mind WoH/RC will be your best choices. if I use 2 monk heroes I'll use 1 of each. here is my preffered monk hero backline:

Dunkoro:
[skill]word of healing[/skill][skill]dwayna's kiss[/skill][skill]guardian[/skill][skill]shield of absorption[/skill][skill]divine intervention[/skill][skill]dismiss condition[/skill][skill]deny hexes[/skill][skill]channeling[/skill]

Tahlkora:
[skill]guardian[/skill][skill]gift of health[/skill][skill]shielding hands[/skill][skill]signet of devotion[/skill][skill]spirit bond[/skill][skill]restore condition[/skill][skill]remove hex[/skill][skill]channeling[/skill]

you'll notice I didnt bring cure hex, this is only because I dont have EotN, feel free to use it on Tahlkora... however if you do it you should switch out gift of health for something else as its rather counter productive to have both...
you'll also notice I only used 1 skill that is more than 5 energy, this is because heroes suck at managing their energy, and due to that I brought signet of devotion on the same bar...

Agreed. This is why I've been running a HH+LoD monk hero recently, because Aegis is the only prot enchantment I actually WANT on my monk hero's bar anyway, and that can easily be slid over to an Ele hero's bar instead (still red barred, of course).

If you want to really see how bad heroes are with prot, load your monk hero up with prot skills and then add a MM to your group. Then just sit back and watch the hilarity ensue.
You'll pretty much have to red bar everything.

Heros are actually good with spirit bond. In 2 man 6 hero teams I used to run 2 heros with LoD, dwaynas kiss, cure hex, dismiss condition, gole, aegis, spirit bond and res chant. It worked in all vanquish trips I use it in.

Now I just swapped lod to woh, but im curious to how this hero bar would work:

Glimmer of light
Dismiss condition
Sig of rejuvenation
Divine boon
Channeling
Inspired hex
Revealed hex
Ether signet

You can try leech sig and power drain to, but I cant because my monks have caster axes so need to be on avoid combat. Obviously you would also have a prot monk.

But it's probably because I am a monk myself, so I run WoH. and 2 WoHs are pretty counteractive IMO. It always seems to turn out like this:

1. ally goes under 50%
2. I start casting WoH
3. Dunk WoH's him first due to faster AI reflexes, brings ally to almost full hp
4. my WoH is wasted

Glimmer seems to fit my needs better, since dunk can just happily spam glimmer and patch up any extra damage, and I can cast WoH and take care of the ones in trouble.

But if you're any other profession then WoH is probably the better choice.
This seems more like an argument for your hero to bring WoH and you to bring something else.
